"Human life is a struggle, isn't it? It's a life sentence to hard labor.
Like field hands longing for quitting time
and working stiffs with nothing to hope for but payday,
I'm given a life that meanders and goes nowhere—
months of aimlessness, nights of misery!" Job 7:1-3

What is there to be thankful for?

What reason have i to live?

Am i so selfish that i forget what is all around me to see? Am i so blind?


Job lost his family. his life. his job. his money. his home. his health. EVERYTHING!

"Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?"
In all this, Job did not sin in what he said." Job 2:10


Shall we?!?!


It sounds pretty preposterous to me.


I have a car. health. a family. friends. the cutest/sweetest boyfriend in the world. So what if i don't have a job right now? So what if I can't figure out how to pay for school?

Matthew 6 says "25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

So what if i have all too often headaches? and the occasional discomfort? Didn't God bring me to life? Wasn't it He who breathed the breath of life into me? He can take my life away as quickly as it came, and worrying or stressed or whining wont change that or anything else.

Be brave, my friends, like Job. Trust God with all you have, and you will see the rewards in this, if not in this life then in eternal life in Heaven.

p.s. pray for me i was a passenger in another car wreck (my 3rd this year) and am experiencing some physical pain, but i am trusting and that's the key.
